About Tara Ryan Designs

Tara McGeehan founded Tara Ryan Designs, LLC in 2016 after gaining years of valuable experience working in the field of interior design. Her background in art and art history enhances her design eye in terms of her comprehensive knowledge of styles, ability to mix colors and patterns, and visualize spaces throughout the design process. She particularly enjoys using her hand drawing abilities to visually communicate the design vision to clients.

Tara decided to pursue her passion for interior design after receiving a BA in Art + Art History (Dickinson College) and a MS in Interior Architecture + Design (Drexel University). While in graduate school, she worked as a designer for a residential design/build firm that gave her great experience in the industry working on new construction and renovations with a focus on custom millwork design and material selection. Before starting Tara Ryan Designs, she worked as a senior designer at Meadowbank Designs, as VP of Client Design at a high end furniture showroom and as a freelance designer for many interior designers throughout the tri-state area. She remains very involved in the local chapter of the ASID and serves as the Communications Chair for the Interior Design Awards.

Tara lives in Philadelphia and loves taking advantage of all that the city offers including great restaurants, community events, and gallery openings. Her main sources of inspiration come from art, architecture, travel and nature.

Hannah,
Interior Designer

Hannah earned a Master’s of Fine Arts in interior architecture and design from The George Washington University, a CIDA-accredited program in Washington, DC. After graduating, Hannah honed her skills as an Interior Designer and worked for award winning firms, supporting high-end residential and commercial design projects in Washington, DC and Philadelphia, PA.

Hannah’s passion for interior design is rooted in a space’s ability to evoke an emotional response. She aims to craft spaces that induce a sense of personality, warmth and sophistication while also celebrating functional elegance and comfort.

In her free time, you can find Hannah cuddling with her siamese cats, and spending time with her husband Alex.

Braelyn has a B.A. from the University of Virginia in American Studies, with a self-designed concentration in public art and the built environment. As her passion for art and design grew, her love for thoughtful and intimate interiors grew with it. After graduating, she built her administrative and project management skills through a series of roles, all while taking on her own clients and consulting for design studios in the Philadelphia and NY area. She is thrilled to join the Tara Ryan Designs team to learn and support its continued success.
